Joseph Luis Contreras (Birdwell)

Joseph Luis Contreras Birdwell, 14, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in Houston, Texas. Joseph was a beloved son, brother, grandson and friend. He attended H.E. Charles Middle School, played soccer for the Gunners and Manchester United. He loved to watch the Chicago Bears and like riding his quad. He loved barbeques and loved to cook. Joseph was a member of the Catholic Church. Survived by his parents: Pete Contreras, Claudia Birdwell and Kevin Birdwell; brothers: Johnny Birdwell, Justin Contreras, Kevin (Cameron) Birdwell; sisters: Mary Birdwell, Bryn Birdwell, Morgan Justice, Mia Contreras, and Salima Contreras. Grandparents: Jose and Manuela Fernandez and Noni and Pete Contreras. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Mass will be recited at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
