Joseph B. Adams

Joe Adams, 93, of northeast El Paso, died on January 5, 2012 at the Texas State Veterans Home. A Pearl Harbor survivor who served in the Army Air Corp and retired from the Air Force in 1963. Joe served with the Civil Service at Fort Bliss for 25 years and was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He is preceded by his wife, Trinidad Adams. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Smith of El Paso and Ina Bowers and her husband Andrew Bowers of Annapolis, Maryland; and his son, Joe Adams Jr. of Dallas, Georgia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Carleen Barnes, Charleen Hill, Cailin Adams from Atlanta, Sara Bowers-Appl of Silver Spring, Maryland; and Sutton Smith of Dallas, Texas. His great grandchildren: Kayleigh and Ansley Barnes, Amanda and Camden Hill, and Shelby Stokes from Atlanta and Drew Appl from Sierra Spring, Maryland. The Adams Family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Joe's life during a Funeral Mass held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 9025 Diana Drive. His Committal Service will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
