Josefina R. Roberts

Josefina (Josie) Roberts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Kyle TX. Josie was a long time resident of San Elizario, Texas. She was born in Mexico to Roberto and Josefina Rosales on August 2, 1942. She was preceded in death by husband, Mauricio Roberts, son Saul Alvarado and mother, Josefina Rosales. She is survived by her father, Jose Roberto Rosales, children, Oscar Alvarado, Aleida Villarreal, Sandra Louviere, Alonso Estrada, Alfonso Estrada and Noemi Schlosser, 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, siblings, Sara, Nena, Pepe, Linda, Chayo, Bobby, Carlos, Nora and extended family. One of Josie's passion was gardening. She spent countless of hours creating a small beautiful paradise in her backyard with her sweetheart Mauricio. She also enjoyed reading, painting, crafting and cooking some amazing authentic Mexican dishes for her family and friends. Most of all, Josie will be remembered for her strong faith in Christ. It was evident that her strength, peace, hope and joy came from trusting our Lord and Savior. Visitation will be held 6:00pm to 9:00, with a celebration of life at 7:00pm Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. A chapel service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
