Josefina Chavira Mendez

Josefina Chavira Mendez, age 94, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. She was a wonderful daughter, mother and sister and will be greatly missed. Josefina is preceded in death by her loving parents; Jose Chavira and Francisca Alarcon and her beloved husband; Ernesto Mendez. She is survived by her adoring children; Teresa Smith (William), Dolores York, Jose Mendez (Quentina), and Luz Elena Saucedo (Hector); and her loving sister; Hortencia Murillo, as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory. A Funeral Service will be at 9:30 am, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Coronado Baptist Church, 501 Thunderbird Dr., El Paso Texas, 79912. And an interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler.
