Josefina Gomez

Josefina Cabrera Gomez was granted her angel wings on June 9, 2011 after an extensive battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some small way throughout her life. She was born on October 28, 1942 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and resided in El Paso, Texas for many years. Josefina will always be remembered for her amazingly caring demeanour. She never failed to support every one of her friends, family members, children, and grandchildren whenever they needed her. She is survived by her husband Frank Gomez; sisters Maria Elena Cabrera and Rosa Bauman; brother Jose Luis Cabrera; children Deborah Elliott, Amabel Grajeda, and Adrian Perez; and six loving grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, June 12 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-West on Resler. Mass will be held Monday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Lukes Catholic Church.
