Josefina Banuelos

Josefina Banuelos, 64, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018. Josefina was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, on January 1954. She was one of nine siblings of a family that relocated to Cd. Juarez when she was very young. In 1973, she married Jose Angel Ortiz who passed away in 1987. Josefina later remarried in 1999 to Armando Banuelos. Josefina was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved talking and spending time with friends and neighbors and despite many, many obstacles, endured and persevered like no other. She ensured her children completed their education, she built the home of her dreams, and she earned a U.S. citizenship. More than anything, she unselfishly loved her family. Josefina leaves behind her husband Armando, sons Osvaldo and Edgar Ortiz, and a countless number of family and friends that cared deeply about her until her last days. A funeral mass will be held for Josefina on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Assumption, 4800 Byron St. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
