Jose Romero Rivera, age 89, passed away on Saturday July 24, 2021. Beloved son, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He leaves behind his wife of 66 years María Cruz Romero, his children Teresa Rosales, Roberto Romero, Adela Muñiz Trevino, Francisco Romero, Antonio Romero, Emma Lopez, 20 Grandchildren, 48 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was hardworking, devoted to his family. A great friend to his friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace with our eternal father. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Saint John Paul II Catholic Church, 518 Gallagher St. Interment to follow at 11:30 AM at Evergreen East Cemetery.
