It is with a saddened heart that we share the passing of our husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather Jose Luis Diaz. Dad was born in El Paso, Texas, February 6, 1932 and passed May 14, 2024.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Elena Yolanda Diaz, daughter Cynthia N Garlock (Daniel) and son Joseph Diaz. He was preceded in death by his son Steve Diaz † and daughter Christy Diaz †. He enjoyed his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dad proudly served 6 years in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a longtime employee of and retired from the El Paso Times Inc. (formerly Newspaper Printing Corporation) after 40+ years of service.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.Service Schedule
