Jose De La Rosa

Long time El Paso resident Jose De La Rosa passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008. He was born in Smeltertown, TX on January 9, 1936. He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. His son; Jose Antonio and, daughter Aida preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Irene De La Rosa, son and daughter-in-law, Javier and Devy De La Rosa, sister; Socorro Seañez, grandchildren, Meladie, Victoria, Gabriela, Monika and Anthony, Great-grandchildren; Blue and Shai-loe. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 9 pm on Sunday, August 10,2008 with a Vigil at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750, N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am, Monday, August 11, 2008 at Santa Lucia Catholic Church. Interment will be at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be, Javier De La Rosa, Anthony De La Rosa, Ignacio Ramirez Jr., Jesus Molina, Nemecio Romero and Eddie Torres Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Enrique Diaz, Eddie Torres, Shai-loe Haywood, Blue Grabski and Ramon Valdez.
