Jose De La Luz Melendez

Jose De La Luz Melendez, 70, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 18, 2007. He was a longtime resident of El Paso and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Mr. Melendez had worked as a boot maker for Cowtown Boots and he was preceded in death by his Great-Grandchild, Alizae Monique Melendez. Mr. Melendez is survived by his wife, Josefina Melendez; sons, Carlos and Jose Antonio Melendez; Daughters, Rosa Maria Torres, Lucy M. Medina, Leticia Melendez and Yolie Nevarez. Also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and brother, Salvador Melendez. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, Chapel of Remembrance where Vigil Services will also be at 7:00pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church followed by interment at Evergreen East Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Nevarez, Danny Medina, Jose Antonio Melendez, Carlos Melendez, Jr., Eric Torres and Salvador Melendez.
