Jose de la Luz Carrillo

Jose De la Luz Carrillo, 71, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2009. He was both a loving father and grandfather to all his children. He was often the life of the party as he was a very humorous man. He was a lover of sports and spent most of his time watching his grandchildren play baseball. In his retirement days he was able to travel and see many things he was not able to see in his younger years. He was able to see his beloved Dallas Cowboys live many times, he took a visit to Disneyworld, many cities in both Mexico and U.S., and he was even able to visit Hawaii. He lived a very fulfilling life and his memory will live in the hearts of all the lives he touched. He is survived by his loving wife Gregoria Carrillo and his children which include Mary S. Murillo, Irma Carrillo, Joe Carrillo Jr., Alice C. Pena, Tony Carrillo, Gloria Carrillo, Rosie Sianez and Michael Carrillo as well as sixteen grandchildren. Visitation is from 5:00-9:00 pm and Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
