Jose Antonio Hernandez

Jose Antonio Hernandez Sr. “Pepe” 67 born May 10, 1940 passed away in a local hospital on August 29, 2007.He was a life long resident of El Paso, a member of the Catholic Church and a retired dedicated steel worker “La Flecha” at Border Steel Mills for 38 years. He is proceded in death by his son, Alberto Hernandez, parents Rafael Hernandez and Maria Carrillo Hernandez, brothers Rafael and sister Dolores Lujan. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Maria Gloria Telles Hernandez, his three sons, Jose Antonio Hernandez Jr. and wife Lina P. Hernandez, Javier Hernandez and wife Yolanda Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez and daughter Elizabeth Janice Moreno and husband Jose Cruz Moreno, brothers Ramon, Antonio and Juan Hernandez. Left to cherish his memories and love are his 10 grandchildren: Melissa Christine, Jose Antonio III, Alexandra Jewels, Lauren Marie, Angelina Christine, Alberto Javier, Amanda Nicole, Jazlyn Elizabeth, Jules Analise and Izabella Cruz. Other survivors include many family members and friends. Pallbearers are Jose Jr., Javier, Eddie, Jose III and Antonio Hernandez, Ramiro Rendon and Jose C. Moreno. He will always be remembered as a committed and devoted husband, caring father and a loving grandfather. May you rest with all the angels and give us peace. Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 9 pm, Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a rosary at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at San Francisco de Assisi.
