Jose Luis Granados

Jose Luis Granados, 61, of El Paso, Texas, passed awayMay 14, 2012. He was born November 4th, 1950 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Amelia Adams and the late Jose Patricio Granados. He was an only child.He graduated from Irvin High School in 1969. “Big Joe” was the Rocket’s football Team Captain and quarterback from 1967 to 1969. In 1969, he led the team to the North Championship. After graduation he was employed with Sunbeam Bread for 15 years and thereafter with Flowers Baking Company for another 20 years as an Independent Distributor. He is survived by his children, Celia “Sally” Knight and Elizabeth A. Rodriguez and son-in-law, Carlos Rodriguez; Kara Ann and Dennis Matthew Granados; grandchildren, Jay Andrew, Sabrina April and Daisy Alizabeth Rodriguez and Cassidy Taylor Knight and great-grandchild, Jay Zayden Rodriguez. Visitation will be held from at 5:00-9:00pm with the Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 18, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow atRestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
