Jose Carlos Flores

José Carlos Flores, Jr., age 64, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012. He survived by wife, Gloria; sons Luis Carlos and Gabriel Antonio; daughter Nikki Renée; grandchildren Ashley, Demi, Aubrey, Collin, Walker, Garrett, and Izaak. He is also survived by his great granddaughter Gloriana; sisters María Elena, Rosa, and Yolanda; and brothers Lionel, Richard, and Armando. As a member of the US Air Force he proudly served in the Vietnam War, he loved God and was the cornerstone for his family. He lived a life of service to others and constantly strived to help people in a professional and caring manner. He touched the hearts of many by instantly giving them his friendship. His ability to make others feel good and smile was one of his greatest attributes. The dependability of his word gave comfort to all who needed him. His life brought a brilliant and vivid color to the canvass of this world. We are all truly blessed to have had him in our lives. Loved for the countless roles you were to us; a husband, a son, a daddy, a brother, a grandpa, a friend, he will leave an unforgettable mark on all that met him. These simple words encompass his amazing life. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. A Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm Monday, February 13, 2012 with a Vigil beginning at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home West. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
