Jose “Pepe” C. Delgado, 72, of El Paso, Texas, entered into heaven on Friday, January 24, 2020 to join his beloved wife Herlinda “Linda” B. Delgado and their baby boy Jose Luis “Tata” Delgado in their heavenly home. Pepe was born and raised in El Paso, Texas to Cecilio and Maria Elena Delgado. He was the fourth of six children. Pepe graduated from Bel Air High School and was a member of the ROTC Program. Pepe joined the United States Army and served 3 years. Pepe retired from Newtec Technologies, White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Pepe was a true sports fan. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the El Paso Chihuahuas, and the El Paso Rhinos. He loved watching television programs such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Voice and The View. He loved watching action and science fiction thriller movies. He also loved listening to any genres of music, especially those “oldies but goodies”. Pepe’s greatest love was his family. His loving children – Victor Manuel Delgado (Jessica), Jose Miguel Delgado (Melva), & Martha Cecilia Delgado (Chris); His grandchildren – Victoria “Tori” Mariaelena Delgado, Sabrina “Brina” Mari Delgado, Jennifer “Jenny” Lynn Delgado; His great grandchildren – Miguel “Eli” Heliario Garcia and Angel Noel Garcia; His siblings – Oscar Delgado (Sharon), Raul Delgado, and Consuelo Martinez (George); His mother-in-law – Manuela Balcazar His brothers-in-law – Mike Balcazar (Lucy), Joey Balcazar (Cindy) and Gilbert Balcazar (Kim) His sisters-in-law – Eva Balcazar and Nellie Balcazar; Special mention – Esther Salas Vega He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He is preceded in death by his son, Jose “Tata” Luis Delgado, his wife Herlinda “Linda” Delgado, his parents, Cecilio and Maria Elena Delgado, his sisters Ramona “Monie” Solis and Martha Beeman, and his sister-in-law Maria “Mary” Beaufeaux. A Gathering of Remembrance will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Our Lady of Assumption, 4800 Bryon Street.
