Jose Luis Avila

Jose Luis Avila, entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2022, at age 92, in El Paso, Texas.  He was born in Mexico.  Jose Luis is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Avila; his son, Lazaro Avila; parents Lazaro Castellano and Mercedes Avila. He is survived by his sons Jose Luis Avila, Jr., Rodolfo Avila, Victor Manuel Avila, and Carlos Avila; daughters Hilda Alvarez and Esmeralda Armendariz; brothers Daniel Silva and Jesus Silva; sister Maria Hernandez; grandchildren Jennifer Alvarez, Jonathan Penna-Avila, April Chairez, Renee Ponce, Darlene Avila, Jose Martin Avila, Eduardo Avila, Sophia Avila, Linda Isela Avila, Roberto Armendariz and Briseis Alexa Armendariz. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, Texas 79907. A Second Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Graveside will follow at 1:00 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
