Jose P. Amador

November 18, 1940 — September 29, 2008

In Loving Memory Jose P. Amador 11/18/40-9/29/08 We thank God for allowing JOE to live an exciting and happy life. He died a peaceful death in company of those that loved him very much. Joe as we knew him was born in Cieneguita Chihuahua Mexico born to Jose and Amparo Amador. Joe lived most of his life in California but moved to El Paso, Texas in the early 1990’s until the day he left to be with the Lord. JOE is survived by his daughters who adore him: Lidia Curry, Marissa Amador and Veronica Lerma and grandchildren Robert Corvelli, Madison M. Deucher, Alyssa, Teresa & Anthony Lerma. Also, survived by his wife Petra Esparza Amador and her children: Joe, Elvira, Alex, Bertha, Ricardo, Luis, Susie, Johnny, and Charlie. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great- grandchildren of the same. Joe was survived by his brothers and sisters Socorro, Guadalupe, Maria Del Rayo, Alvaro, Benjamin, Luis, and Everardo. Joe loved tinkering with cars and collecting everything, he fixed it all and if you needed it he had it. He was very knowledgeable about anything you wanted to know, he kept himself informed and listened to every word you said. Joe couldn’t help himself when it came to stranded people on the road, he always had to stop and help, he was compassionate and dedicated. He was proud of working at Penske where he gave 14 years of service. Joe was a member of the UAW Local #286 (Union) and was very proud of it - those who knew him can tell you. Joe had a passion for life and lived every second enjoying it, he was known for always telling jokes and playing pranks. He got a kick out of life and traveled constantly for fun, nothing stopped him from enjoying his life just the way he wanted. For him it was either “get your bag and let’s go or get out of the way I have places to be”. We will miss him, he was a character but we also know that he missed out on nothing because he did it all. And that is what this life was all about for Joe. He will now rest in peace. First we thank GOD!
