Jose L. Alvidrez

Jose L. Alvidrez, 87, of El Paso, TX beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle passed away at his home on Monday, January 31, 2011 He was a graduate of Bowie High School and he proudly served his country in the US Army from 1942-1945. He is preceded in death by his father, Timoteo Alvidrez, mother; Nellie Buono, several brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife; of 58 years, Irma, his sons; Jose Jr., David and Armando, daughters; Connie and Delia, his grandchildren; JoEllen, Elena, Alma, Irma, Amanda, Kaitlin, Madison and Mack and one great-grandson, Luis Antonio Alva. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2011 with a Vigil at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am Friday, February 4, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Church 519 Latta. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Frank Meza, Jose Luis Alvidrez Jr., Ralph Melendrez, Anthony Alva, David Meza, and Armando Alvidrez. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
