Joni Sue Arnett, 26, a lifelong resident of El Paso, passed away on July 1, 2007. She was born on November 29, 1980 to Jon and Susan Arnett. She graduated from Coronado High School in 1999 where she was an honor student and cheerleader all four years. She graduated Cum Laude from UTEP with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice; then went on to graduate with a Master Degree, 1st in her class, in Sociology. She was a Criminal Justice Lecturer and a published author in homicide among intimate partners. She volunteered for numerous charities but the most important thing in her life was her two sons, Brett and Preston, whom she loved beyond measure. Left to cherish her memory is her two children Brett and Preston Eastman, her parents Jon and Susan Arnett, her brother J.R. Arnett. She is also survived by her grandparents, Margaret Blank, Bob and Wilma Arnett, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and deeply cherished friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, July 5, 2007 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM, honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Justin, Noah, and Waco Reid, Dillon Blank, Andre Montes, and Bobby Arnett. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Palmer, Herman Delgado, Dr. Fernando Rodriguez, Clay Blank, Jinx Blank, Joe Blank, Troy Gandy, and Eddie Arnett.
