John Robert McDonald

John Robert McDonald, age 80 of El Paso, Texas passed away February 19, 2022. He was born April 04, 1941 to Aaron Martin McDonald and Mary Martha McDonald. John attended Austin High School and graduated in 1959. He met his wife Mary Barbara McDonald at Hotel Dieu Hospital. They raised two sons John Robert McDonald Jr. and Aaron Mitchell McDonald. He was on the board for Texas Federal Credit Union for more than 20 years. He also was the Regional Manager for Mars Candy Company for long time until he retired. He loved to do house work and mainly spending time working his backyard. He is survived by his two sons and his daughter in law Virginia McDonald and his beloved grandson John Michael McDonald, and sister, Barbara Stockmeyer. He was preceded in his death of his wife Mary Barbara McDonald and his parents. The family would like to thank Maria Jackson his caregiver, and Encompass Hospice, for the care given to their father. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 1:30pm on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.
