John Steven Griffin

John Steven Griffin, 55 years of age, passed away January 21, 2008. He was born in Washington, D.C. John attended Virginia Military Institute and graduated from UTEP. He began his accounting career in Houston and later moved to El Paso to be with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Christy; his mother, Vernell Griffin; brother, Mark Griffin and his wife Sally; their children, Erica and Daniel; sister, Carol Bertrand and her husband Bruce Nolen. John donated his time and talent to mentoring the youth and helping those less fortunate in the community. John will be remembered for his love of sports, his sweet will and love of God and family. Contributions may be made to any charity of your choice in John’s name. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes West.
