Dr. John P. Dyal, 82, an EP resident for 70 years passed away on May 18, 2009. He was born in Mattoon, IL and moved to EP in 1938. He graduated from Austin HS, Northwestern Univ., and Washington Univ. Dental School. After serving in the Army, he practiced dentistry for 30 years. His passion was for cleft palate patients and for the children at the Southwestern Children’s Home. For many years, he was a member of Western Hills Church, TDA, EPDA, and 6 Guns and Shady Ladies. His parents Paul and Mary Ellen Dyal, and his brother-in-law, John Ewald, precede him in death. His daughter Connie Dyal Smith and her husband Dr. Mike Smith survive him. Their 3 children Killian, Ryland, and Kyrie, his sister, Joyce, and several nieces and nephews also survive him. Graveside Service will be held Thursday, May 21st at 11:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Western Hills Church or the Diabetes Assoc.
