John Lewis Carson, 82, passed Sept. 20, 2007. He was a loving husband, wonderful father & the best Papa ever. Born May 21, 1925, in Silver City, NM. He will be welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his mother, Delfina Paz Carson, father, Adolph Carson Sr. & son, Roberto Rodriguez, brother, Richard Carson and sister, Delfina Guzman. He served in the US Army, Co E 3930th Infantry during WWII, where he received, Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, Bronze Star Medal , Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, where he served in Normandy & Rhineland. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Josephine Carson. His granddaughters, Mary Kelly, Roberta A. Rodriguez & Jennifer C. Rodriguez, and the joys of his life his great-grandchildren, George P. Rodriguez, Matthew Kelly, Raeann Kelly, Amanda C. Rodriguez and Vincent Anthony Venzor. His sisters Clara Blancas, Nellie Parks, Mary Wells and brother Adolph Carson Jr. All services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at St. Francis-Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan Dr, visitation is 8am-9am, Rosary is at 9:30am, Mass is 10am and grave-site time will be 11:30am at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
