Joe Santos Vallejo entered into the hands of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and will be greatly missed. He was a Food Broker, a Eucharistic Minister first at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church then continuing his service at Queen of Peace where he was also the Official Greeter for Sunday Mass, and a member of the Knights of Columbus of Queen Peace Council #14413. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army and the Korean Conflict as well as member of the 187thAirborne Division “Rakkasans”. Most notably, he received the Purple Heart and the Infantry Combat Badge. He is preceded in death by his parents Santos and Josefina Vallejo and his beloved wife Mary R, Vallejo, his loving son Daniel Vallejo, and his beloved brothers Alfredo and Rene Vallejo. He is survived by his beloved children; Richard Vallejo and his wife Pauline, Eddie Vallejo and his partner Maggie, Yvonne Vallejo Davis and her husband Edward Davis, his loving sister Carmen Portillo, his loving brother Art Vallejo, his beloved grandchildren; John Richard Vallejo , Jaunell Vallejo Mata (Danny), Ryan Edward Vallejo (Samantha), Mark Jason Vallejo Alger (Michael), Vanessa Vallejo Smith (Chris),Tawny Davis, Thaddeus Joseph Davis, his loving great-grandchildren; Aleda Vallejo, Sienna Vallejo, Mattias Vallejo, Ava Smith, Quinn Smith and Lily Smith. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 6:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1575 Belvidere. Interment will follow at Ft.
