Jody Demiter Pelot

Linnie "Jody" Demiter Pelot, 89, Jody was born in Raton, NM on April 18, 1927 and began her eternal life on March 28, 2017. Jody leaves a legacy of faith and love of family and friends with all who knew her. Jody is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Jessie Shoemaker, grandparents Dallas and Olivia Wells, first husband August (Gus) Demiter, brother Jimmy Shoemaker and sisters Anna Bates and Betty Randall, her second husband Joe Pelot, sons John Demiter and Robert Demiter, two infant grandsons, and her granddaughter. She is survived by her sister Ida Woods, daughters Mary (Walter) Hanthorn, and Doris Powers, sons George (Dora) Demiter and Jerry Demiter, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild as well as all her extended family and friends who meant so much to her. Interment will be at 10:00 AM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Celebration of Her Life and Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM at Christ Community UMC, 4447 Loma Clara.
