JoAnn Beckworth

JoAnn Beckworth, 74, our beautiful and Loving wife, mother and grandmother, left this world on May 8, 2007 to visit her savior. She was born in Dayton, Ohio yet moved to El Paso in 1957 and made “here” her home. Her dream in life was that of her family and most important of all…her children. Her cheerful attitude, friendliness, and open heart will always be remembered by the many people whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Margaret (Sweeney) and Guy Morrison of Kettering, OH. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert L. Beckworth; her children and their spouses: Susan and Bill McAdams, Robert L. “Bobby” Beckworth Jr., William “Billy” and Sally Beckworth, and Mary Lou and Michael “Mike” Coffman; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank the El Paso Fire, Police, and EMS Departments who all worked intensely to save her life. Additional thanks to W.B.A.M.C.- ER and ICU Staff. “My dear wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, we’ll always cherish the time we had together and will never forget…when the Lord is ready…it’s a better place to be…” Following Mrs. Beckworth’s wishes, there will not be a public visitation. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 14, 2007 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
