Joan Marie Schmalfeldt

Joan Marie Schmalfeldt born August 10, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN went peacefully home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schmalfeldt, mother, Fern McCaslin, father, Jess Fryman and brother, James Fryman. She is survived by her step-father, Max “Pops” McCaslin, sisters, Margie Schroeder and Connie Bullock, three children and their spouses, Donna and Trace Chastain, Diana and John Ives, Anthony and Sharon Schmalfeldt. She has seven grandchildren, Michelle, Heather, John, Jacob, Jessika, Brittany and Michael. Ten great grandchildren, Breanna, Sam, Mike, Emily, Chelsea, Caden, Phaelan, Gavin, Jayden, and “Lenny”. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, Monday, November 3, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast on 4631 Hondo Pass. Graveside Service at 9:30 am, Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Mom, you will always live in our hearts and will be remembered with love and laughter.
