Jimmy Orlando Nail

Jimmy O. Nail Sr., 91, a loving husband, father and “Grampies” passed away on June 13, 2010. He was born in Handley, Texas, and one of 12 children. He served in the United States Armed Forces and retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety after 35 years of service. Jimmy was preceded in death by the love of his life, Grace M. Nail, his eldest son, Bruce E. Nail, and 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Jimmy O. Nail Jr., his daughters, Judi Contreras - husband Louis Contreras, Linda M. Walker, Kathryn G. Albeck - husband Timothy S. Albeck, and 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, Sarah, Christopher, Barbie, Kim, Keely, Grant, and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Bernice Maroney, Margaret Burney, and Gladys Mills. Grampies loved “working” crossword puzzles, dancing, fishing, following the stock market, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone, but the memories, stories and jokes he created and told will live in our hearts forever. We would like to thank all the employees of Las Palmas Medical Center and his home health caregivers for all of their loving care. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, June 17th, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 18th, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Manhattan United Presbyterian Church, 1201 North Piedras Street, El Paso, Texas, or Christian Schools of El Paso, 10104 Album Avenue.
