Jesus Valdespino

Jesus Valdespino, 72 years old, passed away on November 21, 2024.

Jesus, who was presently known as Chuy, was born in El Paso, TX on July 11, 1952. After graduating from Bowie High School, he attended the University of Texas in El Paso. Jesus achieved his Bachelor’s degree as a social worker. At the University of Texas library he wrote several articles to include Historia de la Familia Valdespino which was published and he was also known as a grand story teller.

On August 19, 1981, Jesus married the love of his life Maria de Lourdes Salgado.

Jesus worked at the El Paso State Center for Mental Health and Mental Retardation for over twenty years. After retiring from the State Center, he continued working at Lee And Beulah Moor Children’s Home until 2018. He was very devoted and caring for the children he worked for.

Jesus was a God-fearing person and dedicated his life to the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ralphael Jr. and Concepcion Valdespino. Jesus leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Maria de Lourdes, son; Jesus Isaiah, and daughter; Yvonne Kathryn married to James Robert Yarboro, and grandson; Nikolai Vincent. He loved being a grandpa and enjoyed every moment of it.

Jesus’s surviving siblings are his brother Ralphael Valdespino III and his sister Connie Valdespino.
