Jesus Alberto Salas

Jesus Alberto (Indio Blob) Salas, 47. 4/8/1961 to 5/17/2008. Jesus was the Bowie mascot for 3 years and graduated in 1980. He worked in the El Paso public schools and later moved to Saint Joseph’s Elementary as maintenance/security guard he found a better opportunity and worked at North Park Mall becoming a supervisor for maintenance. He open his own business called The Popcorn Box. He finally found his passion in life, working for the El Paso International Airport as field maintenance fixing runways. He is survived by siblings, Maria de los Angeles Salas, Paul Salas and Veronica Salas. He also loved kids and raised as his own, Stephanie Chavez, Karina Salas, Jose Antonio Salas, Jesus Esaias Salas, Zenaida Esmeralda Salas, and Malahkai Maxymus Salas. Visitation will be from 4-9pm Thursday, May 22, 2008 with a Vigil at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 23, 2008 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pete Salas, Michael Sims, Michael Gabriel Brennan, Jose A. Salas, Daniel Torrers, and Daniel Molina. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
