Jesus R. Rios

Jesus Rolando Rios, 67, our lord took our beloved husband, father and friend November 12, 2009. He is Survived by his wife, soul mate and best friend of 44 years, Graciela Salas Rios; sons: Richard (Erika), and Michael; daughter: Sylvia Rios Ochoa (Rene). He is also leaving behind 7 grandkids that were the “joy” of his life, Samantha, Jordan, Lillian and Diego Rios, Brittany, Lexi and Zachary Ochoa. Jesse is preceded in death by his mother Carmen Contreras and Father Jose Rios. Jesse was born in El Paso on August 19, 1942. He graduated from Jefferson High School, served his country honorably in the U.S Army and proudly graduated from UTEP with a degree in criminal Justice. He worked and retired from TX Commission for the Blind. He loved to help people and was an active volunteer at Prevent Blindness of Texas and American Red Cross. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home- East. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday November 17, 2009 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church at 1:15 p.m. interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
