Jesus Hernandez

Jesus “ Chiruca” Hernandez went to rest with Jesus Christ on August 21, 2008, a WWII Veteran. He was born on February 11, 1917. He is preceded in glorious death by daughter, Martha Garcia and grandson Luis Favela, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rosario G. Hernandez, son; Tomas (Maria) Hernandez, daughters; Ernestina (Jose) Zubia, Yolanda (Hector) Arellano, Velia Hernandez, Dolores Hernandez, and Sylvia (Albert) Munoz. Grampo had 21 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 35 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers and various nieces and nephews. Each of us cherished our relationship with him, our husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He will be terribly missed as he taught us each to live life to the fullest and never give up on “building” anything. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with at Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East,750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 25, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
