JAY R WHITE entered into the hands of his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 27, 2019. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 24, 1929, the son of Ray John and Roberta Helena White. He graduated from Paseo High School in May 1946 before moving to El Paso later that same year. He attended Texas Western College and graduated in 1950 with a degree in accounting. He then transferred to UCLA to work on a masters, but was drafted into the United States Marine Corps in March 1952. He served in the Marine Corps until 1954, returned to El Paso and met his loving wife Margaret Morrissey White. They married in June 1957 and were married for 62 years. Jay was a longtime CPA in El Paso and only retired a few years before his death. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Morrissey White, daughters Erin White Hirzel and husband, William, Edana White Slaight and husband, Michael, six grandsons, Matthew and Mitchell Vechione, Andrew, Kevin, Jayson and James Slaight and sister in law, Mary Catherine McBee. He is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ray White, and brother, Douglas Lee White. Jay loved horses, reading and spending time with family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, with Celebration of Life Service at 11:00AM at Sunset Funeral Home-West, with Pastor Russell A. Nebhut officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Marine Corps Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr.
