Jay Franklin Nabours, 83, of El Paso, Texas died suddenly on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Before working as an accountant for El Paso Natural Gas Company 32 years, he served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve for six years. Since his retirement from EPNG, Jay enjoyed running his own business as a used car dealer and made many friends. Jay will be greatly missed as he is survived by his wife Sara of 62 years, his son Mark, and daughter Lydia Rivas. He was also a proud grandfather of Shanna Wille, Jaymie Hunt, Isaac Rivas, and was thrilled with his great-grandsons Sylas and Tatum Wille. Last, but he would never consider them least, he welcomed his step-grandchildren Sarah Meghan Chenault, and Matthew Murphy into his heart. A Memorial Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 750 N. Carolina Dr., on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 am. A “Gathering of Remembrance” will commence at 10:00 am for all of Jay’s friends who wish to attend.
