Javier Arana Jr., 32, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2012. Born July 20, 1979 in Glendale, California, he was the son of Javier and Blanca Arana. He graduated from Parkland High School in El Paso, TX in 1997. He enlisted to the United States Marine Corps in 1997 and served for four years, stationed in Camp Pendleton, California. There he received numerous awards, certifications, and service medals. After receiving an honorable discharge, Javier served an additional four years as a civilian contract employee supporting joint efforts in both Iraq and Afghanistan. During this time Javier received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. He met his wife, Cindy Arana and they were married on November 26, 2004. In November 2010, Javier graduated from the Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Academy and served the community as a Texas State Trooper while stationed in El Paso, TX. It is during this time that he passed away while in the line of duty. He left this world having fulfilled his dreams and goals personally and professionally. Javier loved baseball, music, and most of all spending time with family and friends. He will be especially missed by his wife, Cindy; his children, Naomi, Kayla, Diego, Julian, and Desiree; his parents, Javier and Blanca; and his sisters, Martha and Bianca Arana. The Arana Family would like to send our deepest gratitude to the Texas DPS Troopers and to all the agencies who have given all their support during these trying times. Archangel Michael, Patron Saint of Law Enforcement, Javier will make one of your finest recruits as he is now promoted to “Guardian Angel” serving at the Lord’s right hand. At ease Marine you’ve served your country well. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trooper Javier Arana Memorial Fund, White Sands Federal Credit Union #155138. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00pm with a Vigil/ Rosary to begin at 7pm, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00pm, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
