James Brian Wilke

CW3 James B. Wilke, age 38, passed away October 10, 2011 in Doha, Qatar while serving our country in the United States Army. James was born September 23, 1973 in Freemont, CA. He joined the U.S. Army in 1992 and was a Patriot weapons system technician and tactician. During his Army career, Chief Wilke has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, and the Parachutist Badge. James was an avid NASCAR fan and Jeff Gordon follower. He is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years Monia; Riley his golden retriever; mother Patricia Gomes; and his brothers Larry and Gary Wilke. Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm with the Funeral Service begining at 5 pm with Military Honors on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-West.
