James Page Smith

In loving memory of James Page Smith, born October 29th, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Sherman and Mary Ellen Smith, passed away February 29, 2012 in El Paso. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Ellen Smith and brother Sherman "Buddy" Smith. He was retired from the U.S. Army and also worked for the United States Postal Service. Smith is survived by one brother Robert C. Smith, his children: Jeffory Martin Smith, Kimberly Page Smith, his stepchildren: Melody Marie Bowman, Michael Conrad Verakez, Leila Ann Vasquez and Andrea Vasquez Hanson. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren: Brandon Jeffory Smith, Garrett Smith, James P. Smith, Nicholas M. Trujillo, Jacob Smith, Dylan M. Strong, Kyle B. Fite, Adam K. Knapp and Matthew Knapp. There are also countless friends and loved ones who also share in our loss. For these whose fortune it has been to know him--and the impression that he has left upon their hearts--James will be remembered and cherished. We are all left with his kind and unselfish love, which will sustain us now and forever. We love you. Graveside Services will take place Friday, March 9, 10:30 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Memorial Service will take place Saturday, March 10, from 2-6 p.m. at the home of Daniel Long, 8116 Riverview Drive, Canutillo, TX. Flowers may be sent to that address.
