He met the love of his life and they married in 1971, and went on to have 3 sons that he was so proud of and taught them how to work on car and how to ski. He was equally proud of his grandchildren, Brooke, Victoria, Ryan, and Alyssa, and his great grandsons, Noah and Connor. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Maston and Helen Mitchell, and his in laws, H.A. and Jennie Mae Schmidt and his three brothers in law, Gary, Andy, and Frank Schmidt, and his sister in law Raedean Poole. Left to carry on are his loving wife, Susie Mitchell, his three sons, Mark (Sherry), Curtis (Tara) and David (Monica) along with his grandchildren Brooke Mitchell (Tyler), Alyssa Mitchell, Victoria Gifford, Ryan Gifford, and great grandsons Noah George and Connor Galliton, numerous nephews, nieces, his favorite brother in law Frank Poole, and friends around the world. When he was not being a soldier, he was out drag racing, riding his Harley, or snow skiing. He was a National Ski Instructor and was once voted one of the top 100 ski instructors of America.
