James Joseph Kampa, 47 passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 in Lawton, Oklahoma. James was born in Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma and was a former resident of South Carolina and El Paso, Texas, where he resided for most of his life.
James was a graduate of Andress High School, then he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. He served in the Army Reserves, and later became active duty from 1990 - 1991. Mr. Kampa attended St. Phillips College in San Antonio and received an LVN degree.
James was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Kampa. He is survived by his wife, Terry Kampa of 18 years; and his loving daughter, Katherine Nicole Kampa; mother, Gwendolyn Kampa; sisters, Patricia Kampa, Carol Lampkins, Sharon Jensen; and brother, Michael Kampa. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday, November 24, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Graveside Service at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
