James Howard Beaman

James H. Beaman, 74, passed away on February 23, 2008. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on November 23, 1933. He was a long time resident of Santa Teresa, NM. He fell in love with the Southwest while stationed at Ft. Bliss. He and LuAnn relocated to Las Cruces in 1963. After completing his degree at NMSU, he returned to Ft. Wayne, IN. where he worked for Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire. He transferred back to the El Paso plant in 1987, where he retired in 1996. He is survived by his wife: LuAnn Settlemyre Beaman; daughter: Laura Kempner; grandchildren: Arryn Kempner, James Kempner, Perri Kempner and a sister Emily Hostetter. The family would like to thank Jim’s caregivers Joe Gomez, Mesilla Valley Hospice: Rosemary,Rosena and Anna. No services will be held.
