Although others might disagree with his opinions or policy positions, he was greatly respected by everyone for standing up for his convictions and always seeking to bring issues important to him to the forefront of every policy debate. He always respected the political process and treated his political opponents with dignity and respect, even when he disagreed vigorously with them. Jaime had a great sense of humor, and a contagious, boisterous laugh. His wit and warm personality made him a great friend and a fun person to be around.
