Jacqueline K. Smith

Jackie Smith, devoted wife, mother and grandmother left us peacefully. An Air Force Veteran, an Army wife, Jackie tirelessly put herself aside so that she may do for others. She was a member of the LAMOPH Chapter 393 and served as its President. She volunteered countless hours for the VA and many other causes. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years Rowland Smith, and both of her parents, Josephine Smeka and Frederick Emery. She is survived by her sons Douglas B. Smith and George L. Smith (w. D'Anne); Grandchildren, SSG Anthony Marino, Dana M. Smith, George L. Smith II, and Katelyn E.J. Smith. Cousin Evelyn ‘Jeanie' Taylor . Her 'Heart' Daughter Liz Panos (h. Tony) and many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers (in Law and in Lord) that love her dearly still. “May the Lord lift you gently and carry you to your true love so that you may reside together for eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Visitation 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, July 6, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
