Jacqueline L. Gmuca

Jacqueline L. Gmuca, age 58 and a resident of El Paso passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009, due to metastatic breast cancer. She was an English professor at UTEP for the last 10 years, and recently retired due to her illness. Jackie was an extraordinary professor spending her whole life educating college students. Jackie is survived by her partner of 29 years Joy E. Myers; her mother Mary Gmuca; preceded in death by her father Andrew Gmuca. She was an inspiration to all she met. She was very much loved by her partner and will be greatly missed. Private services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
