Jackie Lynn Sterling (Hahn), 63, of El Paso, Texas, joined the angels in heaven on April 28, 2024. She was surrounded by her beloved family.
Jackie was born on January 21, 1961, to Richard and Marlene Hahn, in Sioux City, Iowa. After her mother was divorced and remarried to Phillip Townsley, the family relocated to El Paso, Texas with the military.
As an adult, Jackie welcomed her one and only daughter, Maegan Marie Maher, who was the light of her life. Her love for Maegan and her family was only matched by her love for animals. Jackie was a fierce animal advocate who was known to feed any stray animals, stop traffic to help a dog cross the street and locate its family, or to give help/advice to others on caring for their animals.
Jackie had a smile for everyone she encountered and always had a positive approach to the world.
Jackie was preceded in death by her mother-Marlene Townsley, father-Richard Hahn, stepfather-Phillip Townsley, sisters-Sandi McDonald and Julie Loe, her brothers-in-law, Frank Sotelo and Gary Freda, and numerous beloved pets. She is survived by her partner, David Sterling of El Paso, daughter, Maegan Maher of El Paso, sisters, Toni (Don) Kline, Angie Pippin, Susan Freda, Kelli Santos, and Karli Zavala, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, her pets, and all the strays of Northeast El Paso.
Jackie was a mother, partner, sister, aunt, great aunt, friend, and animal lover who will be forever loved and deeply missed.
