Jack Clayton Morgan
Jack C. Morgan, 82, passed away November 30, 2009 after a full life of service. He was born July 11, 1927 to Jack Cutler Morgan and Martha Elizabeth Torbett of Houston. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He put his trust in God and devoted his time and energies to church, family, friends, Masonic and Shriner brothers. He served in the US Navy, retired from El Paso Natural Gas Company, Lay Leader at Ft. Blvd/Faith Methodist Church, Worthy Patron Pleiades Order of Eastern Star, Brd. Member Mt. Franklin Rainbow Assembly, 33rd Highest Degree Scottish Rite Freemasonry El Maida Shrine Temple, Five Points Lodge #1137, Jolly Elders, volunteer reader Rush Elementary School, coordinated airport escorts for numerous children to Galveston Burn and Dallas Children’s Hospitals. Survived by: Wife P. Carlene Morgan and children: Jack Clayton Morgan, Kathy Jayne Irby, Arlene Ward, Judith Anne Thrall, Donn, Richard and Dwight de Yampert and Debbie Aljets. Grandchildren: Jessie Bo Morgan; Jackie, Meagan, and Julie McCullough, Israel, Sam and Shawn Wyant, Joey and Darrell Morgan, Byron and Thomas de Yampert and Brittany Cooley. Services: Visitation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Memorial Service from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, Monday, December 7, 2009 at VA Home, 9650 Kenworthy, Activity Room. Graveside at 11:00 am, Monday, December 7, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Masonic/Military services. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
