Irma D. Burris

Irma D. Burris, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2016. She was born on February 21, 1928 to Pablo L. Delgado and Esther Garza. She was a life resident of El Paso, Texas and graduated from El Paso High. She worked at A.B. Poe and later worked as a bus driver and bus monitor for the El Paso School District until she retired. She loved reading and one of her favorite authors was J. Krishnamurti. One of her favorite quotes was “Meditation is the seeing of what is and going beyond it.” To put it quite simply she had a ZEST FOR LIFE! She is survived by her three wonderful sons, Michael DeWayne Burris, Glen Ross Burris and William Buckley Burris and his wife Grace, her brother Roberto Delgado, her nephew Maurice Ollivier, her beautiful granddaughters, Melissa Nicole Burris and Danielle Marie Burris, additional family and many long time loving friends. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm. with a celebration of her life at 2 pm Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750 N. Carolina, El Paso, Texas.
