Irene Van Parys

Mrs. Irene Van Parys, 80, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2017. Irene liked to dance, enjoy a good meal with a pina colada or strawberry daiquiri chaser, an avid scuba diver, golfer, bowler or other games with her family and friends, always enjoyed associating with her friends and neighbors and school mates. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Carmen Gonzalez. She is survived by her beloved husband Ronald R. Van Parys, Sons: Terrance Van Parys, Michael Van Parys, Daughter: Debra DeLosua, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, Brother; Saul Gonzalez, Sisters; Martha Carl and Esther Villareal. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to join in a gathering after the memorial service at Añejo’s Steakhouse (formerly known as Moonlight Bar and Grill), 16000 Ashford at the Horizon Golf Club located in Horizon City.
