Irene V. Rodriguez

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Apolinar “Rod” Rodriguez. Also surviving are her son, John Evans and wife, Polly Evans, daughter, Virginia Rodriguez and life partner, Trish Lindemann, sister, Ora Hoyer, daughter-in-law, Jan Evans, and grandson, John Henry Evans and wife, Krystal Evans. She retired from the Fort Bliss Finance Department as a budget analyst after more than twenty years, and enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, and volunteering her time at the Wellington Chew Senior Center where she served as treasurer, an active member of the Entertainment and Bingo Committees, Advisory Counsel, and where she also enjoyed attending guitar classes. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., November 10, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment is private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
