Inez Gamez

Mr. Inez Gamez, 90, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007. He was a long time resident of El Paso, Tx. Where he owned and operated the Gamez Grocery Store in Segundo Barrio for over 35 years. Mr. Gamez was a Foster Grandparent for children with disabilities at Bowie High School, Aoy Elementary and the Youth Detention Center, he was also a member of La Union Catolica de San Jose en Sagrado Corazon. He is preceded in death by his parents Feliz & Librada Gamez. He is survived by his wife: Angela Eloisa Gamez; sons & daughter-in-laws: Inez Gamez Jr. (Irma) & Ricardo Gamez (Guadalupe); daughters & son-in-laws: Ana Maria Gandara, Lulu Phillips (Raymond) & Irma Isela Hamel (Dennis); sister: Celia Andrade; 16 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2007 with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm and a Vigil at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East; located at 750 N. Carolina Drive. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 am Monday, March 26, 2007 at San Antonio Catholic Church; located at 503 Hunter. Interment to follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
