Inez H. Downs

Margaret Inez Downs, 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Lubbock, TX.

She was born in Warrensburg, MO on December 28, 1927 to Clyde and Roberta Hamrick. Inez graduated from Crystal City High School in 1946 and from Southeast Missouri State College in 1950.

Inez was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and served as their organist for more

than 55 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and creating other crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Roberta Hamrick; her husband, Glenn Downs and a brother, William Hamrick. She is survived by her son, David Downs and wife, Kristi of Plains, TX & two grandchildren, Sydney and Macy Downs both of Amarillo, TX.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25 from 4-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Internment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at a later date.
